Theory and harmony tuition

Currently we have a few teachers specializing in this area. Typically most students see Gary Johns who has studied extensively in various styles professionally for over 20 years. He’s been teaching for over 10 of those years and has studied guitar, vocal and other instruments  with many of the great teachers in Sydney such as Steve Mckenna, Carl Dewhurst and Chuck Morgan as well as with some greats from London and New York. The styles he’s worked on extensively range from classical and flamenco through to rock, blues, gypsy swing, metal, pop, reggae, folk and jazz.

His constant performing and experience with recording, arranging and composing coupled with his background studying a Bachelor of music and a Bachelor of Education, dealing specifically with music education, places him as one of the best equipped teachers around to get students on the right track quickly so that they can master the skills required to achieve whatever they want to in music!
